Wow! Shanna & Barry, all this information and technology are amazing me!!! I know it's all possible, but to be witnessing this *while* you all are experiencing this adventure simply astounds me! Makes me seem old, ha! I love all the pictures and the videos. It is great to see Meredith and Melina interacting! She's adorable and I am SO thrilled for you all. It's wonderful. Love, Luralyn
Barry, Shanna, Madeline, and Melina...I'm sitting here at my desk and I'm crying. I'm utterly amazed at the images of God's love for us through this process of adoption. Barry...you probably didn't think about this comment too deeply, but when we were talking you mentioned the "attachment disorder" Melina has and how you will have to work differently with her on that than you did with Madeline and Meredith.
Isn't it true that we all have "attachment disorders"? Like Gomer we fall for other lovers who will give us what we want and yet even when we play the harlot, God, who has so bound us to himself in Christ, calls us home as only a loving Father can.
I think that what you are doing is as incredible of an example of "loving what God loves" as there can be anywhere on the planet...because it is precisely what God has done for us in adopting us into His family.
Thank you for giving me a better, literal picture of that kind of amazing grace.
